The Key to the SECRET

The Secret is defined by Agency, Accountability, Responsibility and Facilitation. To understand the relationships between these concepts, check the website: The Key to the Secret and check the book: Dr. Tee's THE SECRET . Then join the thousands who live the full life.

Perhaps the best way to explain the purpose of my goal is to first explain the experiences of my past.

The Relevant Beginning
I have long had the interest and desire to learn. At a very early age (about 12 years old) I was inspired by my mother to seek out understanding in a broad range of educational disciplines. She told me to then think them out and glean from them what is truth. She said, and I believed then as I still do, that the most effective and efficient way to fine the truth is to teach (facilitate) others in their quest for learning. Her thoughts were the basis for my wanting to teach.

The First Education Experiences
I, like most American children of the 1950's, was told that to obtain understanding I had to swallow what was the currently accepted knowledge presented to me, memorize it, then regurgitate it out in written form on a piece of paper. A "qualified" judge then evaluated the regurgitated form. I strongly wished to obtain this "knowledge" so I learned at a very early age how to satisfy the requirements of this learning process. I was very successful for many years in jumping the system hoops (approximately 1200 credit hours at several (5) universities and six degrees obtained).

Teaching Others
In the early 1980's I got my first full time teaching job at Weber State University. Of course, I taught the way I was taught that is; memorize, regurgitate, grade. The students, no matter how much effort I put into the process, still averaged approximately 70% to 75% on all homework, exams, and finals. This was similar to scores that fellow students obtained while I was getting my degrees. This was not acceptable to me. I went to my department head and expressed my concern. To my surprise, he complimented me on my teaching (he said my students obtained the highest grades in the department) and told me to keep up the good work. That was not acceptable to me.

The Research
I next determined to find the correct method of teaching. Interestingly enough, it came to me during a high priests meeting when we were discussing New Testament Parables. I thought "what an interesting way it might be to present mathematics, physics, and engineering". However, to make it understandable to the students, I first had to teach the fundamental concepts upon which all parables are based, just as understanding physics, chemistry, engineering, etc; all depend on a prior understanding of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and Calculus.

The Fundamental Concepts
Two fundamental concepts (upon which all true concepts are based) are: love yourself and love others. Love of self (inner directed) is simply holding on to all your Agencies and being Accountable for them. Love of neighbor (outer directed) is simply acting Responsibly toward others and Facilitating their understanding (thus, the source of AARF).
6. The Solution
I began to facilitate (the true method of teaching) AARF at the beginning of all of the courses I taught (math, physics, engineering, etc.). The thought was that through facilitation (using parables) students would recognize that the understanding was really within them. By facilitating the process of each student, bringing out his or her understanding from within, the student was able to take "ownership" of it.

The Results
In the beginning, I was myself in a learning mode. In the first two years, my students improved from 70% to approximately 85% class averages. By the time I was involved in teaching the more advanced courses of physics for scientists and engineers, the average scores had improved to 92% to 95% averages. The physics department administration became concerned that these scores might be inflated. They then took over assigning the homework, tests, and finals (not letting me know what they were). They also did all the grading. The averages increased to 98% (these results have been acknowledged and are published and available in the Utah State University library). My wish is to share (at a minimal cost) my findings with others.

The Next Step
What I (with your assistance) wish to do now is initially to sell the help (AARF) materials as outlined in the eBook (or printed book-you decide) that you purchased. From the proceeds of the book, I am hoping that you can make enough to make it worth your while. With the remaining proceeds, I want to hire programmers to assist me in putting the math and science materials that I have written in parable form for students to purchase at minimal cost. I would like you to set up and administrate a custom ad-revenue base weblog (or whatever method your recommend). Tell me what funding that is needed. I have a blogsite already set up and have a paypal system in place.

If you have any questions other than these, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Chuck Tee
